Let’s face it. Many people who are a part of multi-level marketing or direct sales companies are normally reps in several opportunities. This is because they don’t make enough money with one opportunity so they keep adding others. One is bound to catch on right? WRONG!
I’m about to reveal to you something you may not be ready for. But these tips are how the professionals in network marketing escape being like the average marketer.
Step One: Brand Yourself
Most network marketers skip this step and go right to spamming themselves and their business opportunity all over social media. You need to make money now, and you don’t have time to brand yourself; right?
I remember when I first got started in network marketing I would look up to the big earners and wish I had the confidence to put myself out there and start a brand. Then one day I realized that these “gurus” were people just like me who successfully branded themselves. After my first online “shero” showed me what she was doing all the way down to copying and pasting her emails to send to my team members; I knew that I would NEVER brand myself with a specific company ever again!
I literally fell in love with online marketing from that day forward and have never regretted it.
Before you go running and screaming from this post, don’t feel intimidated. You don’t have to make a bunch of videos and pop-lock on camera in order to create your brand. Do what feels authentic to you. Remember branding isn’t about being something you’re not.
Branding can feel like it’s unnecessary if you just want to make a few bucks and move to the next thing. But believe it or not, spamming your opportunity link and sending messages to strangers is a form of branding. It may not be the right thing to associate with your brand, but it’s branding.
I used to spam my links all over the place when I first got started in the online space.
To this day, I still have people that laugh at the way I was back then. AND some of them still scream the name of my mlm company. We had banners to hold up and we were always yelling out the company’s name online and offline. And before you ask; yes it closed down.
I’m not saying you do either of these things, or that Paparazzi will close down. But you give yourself the best opportunity to flourish when you brand yourself and NOT a company.
Have you ever seen a real estate agent hop from company to company? For example, one minute they’re with Remax, the next with Keller Williams, and so on.
A better idea for a real estate agent, would be to brand themselves as a specialist in waterfront property, or first time home buyers, or luxury condos for example. The big money is in specializing in something and not being associated with a specific company. So the things I’m sharing with you are not exclusive to one industry. Network marketing is no different.
Whether you like it or not, if you’re actively trying to recruit and attract business builders online you have a brand. Associating yourself with Paparazzi Jewelry doesn’t tarnish your brand but the way you go about marketing the business does. Even if you do live events and show off the jewelry like most consultants do; you don’t want to be most consultants.
If you want to make a long term career as a Paparazzi consultant, you should brand yourself independently from Paparazzi in case you ever decide not to be a representative. As far-fetched as that may be in your mind right now, if something happens with Paparazzi that you don’t agree with; you won’t be tied to them forever. A good way to brand yourself would be as a multi-level marketing coach or simply an online entrepreneur.
It wasn’t until after 2 multi-level marketing companies shut down on me that I realized aligning myself with a specific company WASN’T good for me. I found my results once I started branding (ME!) as an individual and soaking up everything I wanted to know about online marketing.
After you brand yourself as an entrepreneur or coach, you’ll be practicing the principles of Attraction Marketing which we teach HERE. So wherever life takes you, you won’t have the company’s name stamped on your forehead forever. AND this way you can choose your online destiny.
Step Two: Ditch the Company Replicated Website
Before you roll your eyes, I’m not saying you shouldn’t use the site provided by Paparazzi. After all, you paid for it. But that shouldn’t be posted on your social media accounts or in your profiles.
Stay with me as I explain why. I know you’re probably thinking that pointing your Paparazzi website to a domain name you own might be enough.
The reason you don’t want to do this is because you want to position yourself as a professional. You also look like every other Paparazzi consultant who is doing the same thing.
The reason why most Paparazzi consultants are taught to point their company replicated website to a domain name they own instead; is because Facebook routinely “blacklists” sites like Paparazzi from showing on the platform because too many consultants post the replicated sites.
Can you imagine, thousands of people posting the same variation of one website? The algorithm is programmed to keep things like this out. So that means that doesn’t work well for business owners trying to sell their jewelry from the same platform.
You want to stand out in the eyes of your potential prospects as someone who’s a professional and can help fellow entrepreneurs achieve the results they want. Set up your own blog or website dedicated to your brand that you created in step one.
This helps you create a personal connection with your potential customers instead of a connection with Paparazzi; the business. Remember people buy from people they know, like, and trust. Attract your ideal customers and then make offers to them like your Paparazzi business after the connection is made with YOU.
Eventually people will ignore your messaging and your LIVE showcases because they know that’s all you post on social media. You’ll become known as the “Paparazzi guy or girl” instead of being known as a helpful resource for online business owners.
You know how people seem to be constantly giving advice about having multiple streams of income? Well branding yourself is the gateway to doing just that. If you’re a brand with your own website, you can offer anything you want in the future to your customers. This is how you build a long term business.
Bonus tip: They have people and companies that routinely “target” people who are posting replicated websites because they know that person is “doing it wrong” and will be excited to have someone reach out to them about their business.
Step Three: Offer Training on How to Grow a network marketing business
That’s exactly what I’m doing with this blog post. Don’t worry if you don’t have a lot of experience with training people on how to grow a network marketing business; I can help you. (hint, hint)
What’s that saying? Life is hard yard by yard. But inch by inch, it’s a cinch.
Or how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Please note, I’m not telling you to eat an elephant. LOL!
But the point is, you can teach others with the right training. AND what if I told you, I could show you how to earn money to market your business even if someone decides not to join your Paparazzi jewelry team?
Yes, you can learn how to fund your business advertising by offering marketing education to anyone who reaches out to you. Once you see results, it becomes addicting and super fun!
Will this happen overnight? Am I talking about a get-rich quick scheme?
But if you want to have a sustainable business online, this is how you start to do it. I’m available to show you how to do this for your business without leaving you with no guidance.
By the way, this isn’t about taking you away from your Paparazzi business. And from what I’ve seen Paparazzi is a great company and many consultants love it. I’m not a representative of Paparazzi and if you want to take a look at their income disclosure, CLICK HERE.
You have to be open to learning new skills like how to attract your ideal customers using the internet. I teach attraction marketing and have a variety of FREE resources like THIS ONE to help you on your journey to becoming the next Paparazzi badass.
